2 Key Herbs that Will Fight Fatigue, Depression and Stress!!!

2 Key Herbs that Will Fight Fatigue, Depression and Stress!!!

I found this article on the Intent.com website by Michelle Schoffro Cook on "5 Natural Energy Boosters" as I am always looking for information on improving my health and increasing my energy. So the first paragraph caught my attention "Do you muster every ounce of energy you have just to lift your limbs out of bed, experience a daily afternoon crash that only lifts with a caffeine boost, or feel a general sense of fatigue throughout the day? According to researchers, you are not alone. Fatigue is the second most common complaint to doctors in North America.

Unfortunately, many people turn to caffeine to boost their energy levels. That approach provides short-lived energy at best. At worst, it may cause damage to your body in the form of caffeine addiction, blood sugar fluctuations and adrenal gland depletion that makes you more vulnerable to stress. Since caffeine continues to work for about 12 hours, that afternoon coffee may leave you lying awake counting sheep when you are ready to sleep."

I read these lines and I went wow that fatigue effects many people if it is the second most common complaint. So I read the remaining of the article, where the author discussed Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly, Siberian Ginseng Extract, Spirulina and Gotu Kola.

So I decided to try Siberian Ginseng Extract and Gotu Kola, according to the article

3. Siberian Ginseng Extract As the name suggests, Siberian ginseng originates in Siberia. It also grows in Japan, China, and Korea and parts of Canada. It has been used medicinally for at least two thousand years. Siberian ginseng is one of only a handful of herbs that is an adaptogen, which means that it works to normalize bodily functions. It inhibits the adrenal stress response and works as an immune stimulant, particularly for fighting the effects of stress and depression. It aids the liver in detoxifying harmful toxins, including chemotherapeutic agents and radiation. Siberian ginseng also stimulates the activity of several immune system components: B and T cells, making it excellent for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and other viral infections. Athletes around the world use Siberian ginseng as a training aid because of its reputed ability to increase resistance to stress, increase performance, bolster the immune system during workouts, and reduce fatigue. But it also helps strengthen energy levels over time.

5. Gotu Kola Gotu Kola is an herb that contains many nutrients and healing phytochemicals. As one of the primary energy herbs used by herbalists, gotu kola lessens fatigue and depression without the effects of caffeine. Actually, unlike caffeine that may keep you awake into the evenings, gotu kola actually helps improve sleep at night.

I took these herbs with meals for two week, and the first few days I did not notice any change in my energy level. On the fourth day, I have to say that started to notice that I had more sustained energy throughout the work day. I did not have my usual afternoon crash where I would start looking for chocolate to get through the remaining of the day. I was more focused during meetings and completed tasks in a timely manner. I noticed that once I left the office that I had additional energy to do my exercise routine. Once, I went to sleep, I slept like I was in a 5 star hotel big and then woke up refreshed. These two herbs have given me an extra boost that I needed, so I highly recommend these herbs and the other herbs noted in the article. Try them and let me know your results.

So join me in getting fit and healthy by changing our mind, body and spirit one day at a time.

12 Myths to Ignore About Breast Cancer

What is real and what is a myth about Breast Cancer?

The article shares, "So many rumors and controversies surround breast cancer—what really causes it, what really prevents it—that it can be hard to know whom to believe. Just because a friend swears that wearing a bra can cause breast cancer doesn't mean it's true. And if you think that you're not at risk because there's no breast cancer in your family, you might be mistaken. The truth is that scientists still don't know what causes breast cancer—only that certain factors, such as obesity or drinking too much alcohol—may increase risk."

So check out the 12 myths that everyone should be aware of:

5 Surprising Signs of Breast Cancer

Wow, so much to know about Breast Cancer. Here is another informative article about Breast Cancer
The article shares, "You've been told all your life to be on the alert for breast lumps, the primary sign of breast cancer. But a lump isn't always the first sign of malignancy, or it may not be the first change a woman notices, says Andrew Putnam, director of the Palliative Care Program at Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center and Georgetown University. "Sometimes a lump is deep in the breast tissue, or the tissue surrounding it is very dense, making it hard to feel," says Putnam. And inflammatory breast cancer causes another set of symptoms entirely. "So it's important to be on the alert for other red flags as well."

For-women-only-cancer-symptoms-you-re-most-likely-to-ignore

Hello,

This is for the all women and all the men who love women.  From the article below, the author shares, "Routine tests like pap smears and mammograms are important, but don't rely on tests alone to protect you from cancer. It's just as important to listen to your body and notice anything that's different, odd, or unexplainable. Although many of these symptoms could be caused by less serious conditions, they're worth getting checked out if they persist. You don't want to join the ranks of cancer patients who realize too late that symptoms they'd noticed for a long time could have sounded the alarm earlier, when cancer was easier to cure."

So look at these 20 areas that are often ignored, and take the time to get it checked out if they persist.

Practical Tips To Eliminate Toxins From Your Body

Practical Tips To Eliminate Toxins From Your Body

When it comes to removing toxins from your body, there are many options open to you. Some are more effective than others. Learn why and how you can dtox at the cellular level.

Breathing
I know we breathe every minute of every day. This supplies oxygen to the blood and keeps us alive. As a trained breath therapist, I can tell you that by increasing the amount of air into your lungs, and breathing rhythmically, is a very effective toxin removal regime. Up to 78% of elimination occurs through the breath. There are many trained Breath Therapists these days, and I experienced a life changing experience when I first encountered this. This amazing process helped bring past thoughts and emotions to consciousness and clear them. I felt so much lighter afterwards. Something as simple as taking 10 or 20 deep breaths when you first awake can make a huge difference. It is quite an effective method of toxin removal.

Water
I started taking cold showers every day some 20 years ago. This stimulates your lymphatic system and a rapid change from hot to cold temperature can really invigorate you removes toxins. If you have access to a gym, some have a plunge pool and steam room. You can get great energy by switching between these. A swim in the ocean is another great way to remove body toxins using water. More extreme methods are immersing yourself in really hot water where toxins eliminate through the skin, the largest organ in the body. One water detox method is to wrap a wet sheet around your body, then blankets and sweat out tons of toxic material. You get to smell all the toxic waste that comes out of the skin!

Apple Cider Vinegar is a great detox regime. Simply pour a liter in a steaming hot bath.A kg or 2 lbs of BiCarb does a similar job. Use the hottest water you can and then soak in it. Your skin will feel great!

While on the subject of water, be aware of what is in the water you use. Bottled water can often have the wrong stuff in it, and tap water in many towns shouldn't be drunk. Dr Norman Walker, centenarian and leader in colon cleansing, suggests that a continual intake of calcium from tap water may be a cause of arthritis! I use a wellness filter. There is a new model just out and it is fantastic. When you taste water filtered through volcanic rock, you will know why I love this filter.

Colon Cleansing
The colon is the method by which waste material is taken out of the body. If it is not functioning properly, the bowel walls will eventually weaken, leading to autointoxication whereby toxins pass back into the blood stream from the bowel. This eventually leads to serious disease. Using a good fiber product, and perhaps backing this up with Colonic Irrigations or Enemas will keep the colon working and clean. Herbal Fiberblend is the product I use and recommend for this. It is surprising how quickly many people feel more energy when their bowels are functioning correctly.

Fasting
I do not necessarily recommend fasting as a way to detox the body. The reason for this is that when you fast, you may well increase movement of toxins, but if you don't drink huge quantities of water, you run the risk of concentrating those toxins in your body. I know a 24 or 48 hour fast can do wonders as it gives your body the chance to cleanse without the burden to dealing with toxic foods. If you must fast, I suggest you make sure you are in good health by having a check up with a health professional first, and then do a detox program at the same time.

Chelation
EDTA chelation has been around since World War II to remove lead to which soldiers were exposed during the war. You ingest a chelating agent which attracts positively charged particle to it and then eliminates them. DMSA is a similar treatment for Mercury. The challenge is that these treatments are indiscriminate and attract vital minerals as well as heavy metals, requiring medical supervision and vitamin injections to avoid serious side effects. The other challenge is that the toxins are attached to the outside of the chelating agent, meaning they can do damage to the kidney or liver during elimination. One would have to question whether chelation does more harm than good. Still, for some it is essential. Activated

Liquid Zeolite
The challenge with most detox programs is that they don't reach the cells, where toxins are tightly held onto. As most of you know our bodies are made up of trillions of cells, and the health of each one contributes to our overall level of wellness. Toxins, particularly heavy metals and pesticides, which are on just about everything we eat, drink or breathe these days, attach themselves to cell receptors, restricting cells from taking up proper nutrition. Allergies in particular are often caused by irritation of weak cells by antigens, or foreign toxins. Removing the toxins can provide a permanent solution. Masking symptoms with medication can provide quick relief, but can lead to long term problems later. When you detox your cells become health and you feel more energetic and healthy.

This is where Activated Liquid Zeolite comes to the rescue. The beauty of Zeolite is that it has a cage like structure to trap toxins with its molecules and a negative charge to draw them from the cells. Better yet, unlike most other chelation agents, it has been proven to not affect blood serum or nutritional levels in the body. In fact tests of long term users demonstrate that after most of the toxins are removed, nutritional levels balance out to what they should be.

Summary
Detoxification is becoming an essential part of maintaining optimal health. We can no longer avoid toxins. We are being damaged by them every day. What we can do is take action to minimize exposure and get them out of the body before they do too much damage. It is important to remove toxins and heavy metals. In Activated Liquid Zeolite, we now have a safe, effective way to achieve this.

Eat Less For A Healthy Weight Loss

Eat Less For A Healthy Weight Loss

Eat less for a healthy weight loss is a statement of fact and should be obvious to everybody but, strangely enough, many people still go on eating far too much food. Take notice of these healthy eating tips and you should be convinced you can reduce the food you eat, feel healthy and lose weight.

One of the first things to remember is that you can have a cup of tea or coffee without converting an ordinary tea break into a mini-meal. It's easily done! Almost as a reflex action many people will add biscuits or even a slice of pie with a cup of coffee; stop it, it's not necessary and is just comfort eating.

Most health professionals suggest that all adults will benefit from servings of at least five fresh fruit and vegetables every day. In fact, even the government is in on the act encouraging us all to go "five a day". Not surprising when they are crammed with vitamins, minerals and fiber. The reasons are perfectly valid as most vegetables and fruit are about 75% - 80% - 80% water which means you can eat as much as you want. The water content has a further advantage in that it keeps the body hydrated and helps to make you feel satisfied and will certainly assist in your quest to eat less for a healthy weight loss.

Another useful tip refers to how meals are presented. Many people use large oval plates or 12" dinner plates which look a bit empty unless they are completely filled. In reality, any meal of reasonable and adequate proportions will fit easily on a 9" plate. This same principle also applies to the sizes of cups and mugs for coffee and tea. There's no doubt the larger the container the more people will eat or drink. So beware, and cut down on the portions and eat less for a healthy weight loss.

Another useful tip to remember is the number of times each mouthful of food is chewed because digestion starts as soon as food enters the mouth. Chewing is an important part of food digestion as it helps the vital nutrients on their journey to the stomach. It will help to chew each mouthful of food around 25 times to make sure it is digested properly.

Water is a critical part of the formula in any plan for a healthy weight loss. So often when we feel as though we need something we go for a snack as a quick fix. In reality it may well be that a glass of water is required. Water is necessary to keep us hydrated and also helps with that feeling of fullness. In reality, most doctors recommend at least six glass of water each day.

Lastly, don't become addicted to certain snacks. Many addictions abound in modern life but an obsession with food is not usually one of them; although it should be. Most superstores have a plethora of attractive snack and soft drinks that often make the mouth water and are hard to resist. Many of these are remarkably addictive with their high salt and sugar content and are best avoided. If you want a snack, and there's nothing wrong in that, have some fruit and cereal bars; but read the label first.

Well, there you have it, six healthy eating tips that will ensure you eat less for a healthy weight loss.

What do you dare to dream?

Any time you sincerely want to make a change, the first thing you must do is to raise your standards. When

people ask me what really changed my life eight years ago, I tell them that absolutely the most important thing

was changing what I demanded of myself. I wrote down all the things I would no longer accept in my life, all

the things I would no longer tolerate, and all the things that I aspired to becoming.

Anthony Robbins

Question of today is: What will you no longer accept in your life?

A GOOD WOMAN

A good woman is proud of herself. She respects herself and others.

She is aware of who she is. She neither seeks definition from the person

she is with, nor does she expect them to read her mind.

She is quite capable of articulating her needs.

A good woman is hopeful.

She is strong enough to make all her dreams come true.

She knows love, therefore she gives love.

She recognizes that her love has great value and must be reciprocated.

If her love is taken for granted, it soon disappears.

A good woman has a dash of inspiration, a dabble of endurance.

She knows that she will, at times, have to inspire others to reach the

potential God gave them.

A good woman knows her past, understands her present

and moves toward the future.

A good woman knows God. She knows that with God the world is her

playground, but without God she will just be played.

A good woman does not live in fear of the future because of her past.

Instead, she understands that her life experiences are merely lessons, meant to bring her closer

to self knowledge and unconditional self love.

I am a good woman. Are you or Do you know a good woman?

A Beginner's Guide to Menopause Support

A Beginner's Guide to Menopause Support

Menopause is different for each woman. I think we all know the common list of issues that are associated with menopause. Hot flashes, irregular periods, headaches, night sweats, mood swings, depression, anxiety, irregular sleep patterns, skin and vaginal dryness, heart palpitations, and the list goes on. The most important thing to get from this list is not a sense of being overwhelmed, but a sense of wow I am up against a lot, so I needs to understand that this will take some time to figure out. Try to realize that if I you are going to get back to your old self you need to be aware of your symptoms and try find treatments that target your specific issues. Also realize that you might be going through the change, but your friends and family are along for the ride as well. Their love and emotional support can be very healing. Try to use humor when you can and explain to them what is happening. A good friend told me she sat her husband down and told him "Do not speak, do not argue with me, just let me do the talking. I know that I am the one who is trying to get my hormone levels under control and I am the one taking the hormone pills, but some how when I take these pills you become very stupid and very annoying. I know the pills should not effect you, but they are making you into a stupid and annoying jerk, so please be aware of that and do your best while I am going through this to try not to be stupid or annoying."

Because she was able to tell him exactly what she was thinking he was able to understand she did not hate him, and they were able to joke more about the mood issues. She was also able to get an honest outside opinion from someone who knew her well. He told her that she was not going crazy and that indeed since she started taking the pills there had been a major change in her temper and overall mood. When she went to the doctors he was able to be her advocate. He was able to tell the doctor what her symptoms were like as an observer because she was not in denial about her symptoms. This made it much easier for the doctor to understand what was happening and faster to find a treatment plan that worked. I am happy to report, once she got off the hormone replacement her husband recovered nicely from his spell of being an annoying, stupid jerk. On the flip side, many women find hormone replacement therapy is the only thing that does provide relief and emotional stability. Menopause help is self help. Realize that when it comes to treatment and therapies that one size will not fit all, so start researching, give therapies time to work, and be ready to try something new if a treatment is not working out for you.
